The ROCK – AC/DC Tribute News🎸
Dear friends, we are pleased to announce our new bass player#DanySerran. Here you have his biography.
#DanySerrano born in Spain and hailing from the UK, where he spent nearly half his life, Dany formed and played in the London band Mercy House, touring the UK and Europe and playing at festivals like Download or Bloodstock, where we shared the bill with legendary bands such as Aerosmith, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, Rob Zombie, Megadeth or Twisted Sister. Mercy House released their debut album, „A Broken State of Bliss” to critical acclaim in 2012, grabbing airtime on Bruce Dickinson’s BBC Radio show for their first single, „Greed”, which was also featured in the video game Rock Band.
He relocated to Romania two years ago, playing with the Ronnie James Dio tribute „Hungry For Heaven” in Cluj, before moving to Bucharest last February, recently also joining Ovidiu Anton’s band as their rhythm guitarist.
Dany has been lucky to have a fair share of AC/DC experiences, having seen them live at three sacred grounds such as Hammersmith, Wembley and Donington. He interviewed the band at a press conference in London, getting Malcolm to reveal for the first time the story of how Bon once had to buy a ticket to get into the band’s own gig, after arriving at the venue surrounded by fans and being refused entry by security. For a period of time, he also hosted a radio show from London which was recorded from AC/DC’s Albert Studios, at one point recording from a storage room sat next to some of the band’s old master tapes. In 2014, he also went on to appear in their „Rock or Bust” promo video as part of the crowd, alongside a fellow Spaniard who went on to play a stormtrooper in the most recent Star Wars movies!
